Founded in Montreal in 2003, Wolf Parade helped define a restless strain of 2000s indie rock with Apologies to the Queen Mary. Dan Boeckner and Spencer Krug’s contrasting voices remain central to that story.
Artist profile ↗Destroyer began as Dan Bejar’s Vancouver home-recording project in the 1990s and grew into a catalogue of shifting arrangements and unmistakable songwriting. Bejar also contributed to The New Pornographers, including their debut Mass Romantic. Destroyer remains his own long-running vehicle for taking a song somewhere unexpected.
