SYML is Seattle musician Brian Fennell’s solo project, named after the Welsh word for “simple.” His self-titled 2019 debut introduced “Where’s My Love”; later work includes The Day My Father Died and a collaboration with Lana Del Rey on “Paris, TX.”

Marie Dresselhuis is a Vancouver-born singer-songwriter who began as a classically trained pianist. Her work carries that keyboard background into personal songwriting and a soulful vocal approach. The local artist has also taken her songs onto the touring circuit, including a bill with SYML at the Commodore.
