A former television studio on Fell Street, now a live-music room with a mezzanine, big red curtains and vintage rickshaws. Its bookings cross the line between bands and club nights; Billie Eilish, Japanese Breakfast and Courtney Barnett are among the artists who have played here.
ON THE BILL
Sparta
Jim Ward carried his At The Drive-In history into Sparta, whose first album Wiretap Scars arrived in 2002. The current trio pairs Ward with bassist Matt Miller and drummer Neil Hennessy. Their sixth record, Cut A Silhouette, was recorded with J. Robbins in seven days: a fresh chapter with deep community roots.
