The venue
Green Auto puts independent bands on the bill alongside touring acts, with its New & Known Band Showcase giving emerging players a way onto the stage. Its own programme stretches across a busy network of local bills—a useful starting point for following Vancouver’s smaller-room music scene.
ON THE BILL
Jian
Jian is Vancouver singer and guitarist Jian Ross, who performs with backing band Kitten Co. The debut EP Runt pairs Ross’s songs with players including cherry pick, Denice Dublin and Grace Caruso, documenting a project that grew through the city’s independent music spaces.
