The venue
This East Vancouver gathering place began as Gymbodian Hall, opening in 1926, before the WISE societies purchased it in 1963. Concerts and community events now share that long social history. A neighbourhood hall with a musical life beyond any single scene.

SPELL
Spell is a Vancouver heavy-metal band whose records include For None and All, Opulent Decay and Tragic Magic. Led by Cam Mesmer, the group developed from an earlier project called Stryker, trading a narrower ’80s-metal starting point for a more atmospheric, occult-tinged identity.

Crüzer is a Vancouver metal band fronted by Eric Willmott, with guitarists Ben Higgins and Nico Miraftab. Their 2025 debut EP Look to the Skies turns extraterrestrial invasions into song material, putting a science-fiction frame around a twin-guitar thrash-metal starting point.
